I ran a participant yesterday (there were two tasks, different scripts) and the results didn’t save, despite everything going as expected. I ran the participant in a university-managed computer and I thought that might be the problem, since I ran the study again in two different personal computers. However, this morning I tried again in the university-managed computer and the results were successfully saved. Does anyone know what could have happened/if there is a way of getting that data back? Like other users, I used to get a “warning: unauthorized access” message, but after testing three times (doing it myself) I don’t get it anymore.
This time I ran it in person but I have lost data running the study online (in Prolific) as well. If the system just goes down sometimes, is there a way of testing if it works ahead of time?
