    Hi,

I’m preparing a speech perception experiment that involves some audio files that have masked phonemes at different signal to noise ratios. The problem I’m having is that PCIbex seems to automatically adjust the intensity/volume of these audio files, such that the maximum intensity of the audio files is the same. Therefore, the recordings in the experiment end up playing at audibly different volumes, where the items with lower intensities in the mask have higher volume than those with masks of high intensity.

Here is a demo of the experiment if you would like to hear the difference across the audio files: https://farm.pcibex.net/r/eneKhd/.

Does anyone know how I can prevent this normalization of intensity? I have already normalized the audio in the way that’s necessary for my experiment, therefore I don’t need PCIbex to further tweak the intensity of the stimuli. I am defining and calling the audio files as specified in the Basic Tutorial and Advanced Tutorials.

    Thank you!
