    When I go to edit the penncontroller.js file it only shows a view icon, and when I try to upload a new item to controllers it says “you do not have permission to upload to this location”…

    Can you create git repos (eg. on Github or Gitlab)? If so, you could create one that only contains a folder named js_includes in which you place the edited copy of PennController.js; then syncing your project with that git repo will overwrite your project’s file named PennController.js with the one from the git repo
