Handling of Participant IP Addresses

Hello,

I am planning on running a self-paced reading test as part of my doctoral dissertation. Before I get started, I would like to understand a bit more about how PC Ibex handles IP Addresses. This can be broken down into 2 questions:

1) How does the software itself collect and handle the IP Addresses of participants who agree to particpate and visit the experiment page?

2) When I collect my data, do I automatically receive the IP Addresses of the participants? If so, would it be possible to turn this feature off?
