Dear Jeremy,
First of all, thank you so much for making PCIbex available, it is a tremendous help for us experimental linguists.
I think I have found a bug in the Farm’s CSS handling. A single CSS comment in a stylesheet whose filename does not start with global_ makes the project’s entire Aesthetics folder fail to load, including the Farm’s own stylesheets. So the experiment renders with no CSS at all.
To recreate this bug: create a new project and, in the Aesthetics folder, create a file called plain.css containing exactly:
/* a comment */
body { background: #003366; }
The preview will show that the page is unstyled: no navy background, and PennController’s usual centering is gone, too.
Two changes each make it work again: either delete the comment, or rename the file to global_plain.css and keep the comment.
A more complete history was documented (by Claude Code) in the README file here: https://github.com/mkthalmann/pcibex-sync-demo, which I mention in case my report here leaves out important info.
Cheers and many thanks again,
Maik
