CogSciLanMethLabParticipantHello Jeremy,
Recently, your valuable comment and useful explanation on the difference in total audio duration of elicited participant recordings helped us greatly to understand the current technical limitations of online research.
Earlier the week, we were able to successfully publish the experiment in Prolific and collect the data as well as recordings of several participants. However, the picture resources that are stored externally on a webserver, are suddenly not being able to be printed on the screen anymore. Instead, a message saying that the resources will be available in approximately one minute is seen (we have translated the respective message through PennController.js in the Modules folder in PCIbex Farm).
As far as it seems, the webserver works as intended and the folder with the pictures is accessible through the individual link to the online directory.
Since we have not changed anything in regard to the experimental scripts in PCIbex Farm nor in regard to the webserver’s settings, we wonder why the study suddenly experiences trouble accessing the pictures resources.
The demo link to the respective study: https://farm.pcibex.net/r/zBUnUG/
The same problem also exists for another study that we currently have not yet published for participants since we are still working on it.

Could you please let us know what could be the cause for such an issue and what solution could lead to running the experiment successfully long-term again.
Thank you very much in advance!

JeremyKeymasterHello,
Do you still experience the problem today? Everything runs smoothly when I open your demonstration links

CogSciLanMethLabParticipantHello Jeremy,
Thank you very much!
We assume that the problem was due to the crashed server? Anyway, the experiment seems to run stable and all picture resources are being displayed again!
With best regards,
